Summerlee Transport Group & Tramway and Light Railway Society Model Tram Group

The Scotland Area Group of the TLRS, jointly with the Summerlee Transport Group, holds meetings approximately once per month, venue permitting, at the Cumbernauld Theatre, a 00 test track is available at these meetings, with a dual gauge 0 scale test track available on request.

Speakers for our meetings cover a range of tramway related topics, which have included a talk from a retired aircraft crew showing us some very interesting historical photos he took while visiting various countries, and a talk on 3D drawing from photographs where detailed information of a chosen prototype isn't always available.The aims of the group are to promote interest in tramway modelling in all scales and gauges from across the world, provide support to like minded persons with an interest in tramways and the modelling of tramway systems and their infrastructure along with the tramway vehicles

New members to the group are always welcome, anyone interested in joining the area group, or anyone wanting more information about the group are welcome to contact us by email.

We will be attending two exhibitions in 2026 with our local TLRS display, where we would like to meet and talk with any like minded modellers and tramway enthusiasts, and anyone who might be interested in more details regarding the Scotland Area Group.

Being part of the TLRS members have access to the large TLRS Scottish photo archives which covers all of the Scottish tramway systems.
